About the role
<ul> <li>Construct primary structures such as frames, keels, girders, and deck beams for vessels.</li> <li>Construct secondary structures such as walkways, handrails, equipment brackets and bases.</li> <li>Read and understand technical documents and workshop drawings.</li> <li>Adhere to the Austal Safety and Quality standards.</li> <li>Maintain a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.</li>
</ul>
 
Skills &amp; Experience
The successful applicant will be a trade qualified Fabricator/Boilermaker/Sheet Metalworker or Vehicle Body Builder who has:
<ul> <li>Experience in aluminium and/or steel fabrication or MIG welding</li> <li>A positive and professional work ethic, taking pride in finished work.</li> <li>Be physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, as well as at heights.</li> <li>Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)</li>
</ul>
